education system

Do you believe in the education system? You know its kinda de javu when u hear people saying that you got to go to college and get a degree and get a job and start earning big bucks and start a family. Well all our parents or a elders has been saying this for ages. Its seems like a cinderella world where everything goes as planned and smooth without any hiccups along the way.

Well, I believe in it when I was young. I have to believe in it because I'm also part of it. well, I'm in college right now. And try to get a degree that should be guaranteeing me a good future.

but everything around us seems so bleak and uncertain these days. Yeah, I kinda doubt whether this whole education system thing will actually be the answer to lift us up from the poverty line.

for the record, there are more than 10 millions plus people in US who are jobless and more jobs are going up in the air as you are reading this. Its seems like the perfect ending story suddenly change and give us a slap on the face to land us on reality land. Yeah, new graduate are not getting hired. Whats the big deal about having a degree? there are thousands out there who have it and have very impressive records who are still jobless.

I for one pity the seniors who are graduating in this two years. Its gonna be a very tough environment. Start with a very low pay that can just let you have each meal and pay for rent, food and transport. Others are more worst off. they won't even be getting a job. most probably staying back at home with our parents is a better option than moving out.

How about all those wall street professionals who are losing their job? Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearn will be part of this history forever. thousands are losing job in New York and London. What are they going to feed their family? How are they going to send their kids to college? how are they going to pay their housing loan and car loans?


factory across the world is closing down due to low demand. most workers will be asked to take voluntary leave and be more productive at home. its lucky if the factory is not closing down. well thailand, china vietnam and singapore is really in trouble. more than 10 k factory were reportedly closed in china alone. sending thousands jobless and homeless. Soon there will be a hunger strike as the so called champion of socialist communist policy in China doesn't seem to work after all. So does democracy that was tainted with corruption and hunger for more power that kills the system it self like thailand. so what's the best policy?

well, we'll most probably wait for Obama to solve that. people are expecting miracle and magic from him that he is running out of magic powder. He's going back to the old clinton administration after all his talk of change. well, what a relieve that america will change back to the old administration...

Well, I'm lucky because I'm going to graduate in two and half years time. At least by then, the economy will be better off than now. But I still can't fathom why do we have to pay so much for college that all we are actually receiving are crappy lecturers who are boring and there to make our life difficult. Well, college life isn't as easy as everyone are telling us.

The past two weeks has been one of the toughest time ever in my entire life. Seriously, I have been through tough situation but this tops it all.
Its none other than having your whole life nightmare coming knocking at your door at once. The previous nightmare was when I was at swinburne. I was having a high fever during my exam week. I remembered that I slept on the bed the whole day but got better after an injection for fever. And I managed to get pretty good grade that I never reach until today. It's like miracle how I managed to come out from that a victor.

Well, this time, I got chicken pox which is really something I never wanted to have since young. Yeah I know that this sounds pathetic. I'm kinda like a big baby who never get a baby disease. Though its a bit too late at 20 to get it.

It gave me the most terrible nightmare that one could ever imagine. I had constant headache for few days. Felt like my head gonna explode anytime with big lumps growing on the back of my head. Lying down on my bed like a dead corpse. waking up for few minutes just to take my medicine. there weren't any difference between day and night.


And it was kinda one of those odd moment in my life where I have to strip down my pants in front a doc to get injection each day. Its really odd to have someone who you don't know to be touching your ass and worse pinching it to find your muscle. Now I felt like I'm hooker. But at that time I don't mind what I have to do as long as the pain can be taken away. I'll strip naked if I had had to get the injection. Its really bad that you feel like suicide. Actually I don't really feel anything, but I'm more concern with the doc coz she's a muslim. So I'm not sure whether its ok with her. but anywhere, we got to act professional I guess when it comes to treating your patient. Anywhere, she's more like a caring mother who tends to her young one. And I'm very thankful to her for that.

At first, I was thinking like I should skip all my test by asking for mc from the doc. but then she dropped the bomb. she say she'll arrange for a quarantine exam for me. yeah I had to sit for all my paper. But eventually I skip prob n stat coz the pain was really unbearable. And I don't really think that I did a good job with the other papers coz I didn't really focus and study for it.

taking panadol is like taking candy. two pill for every six hours. I took more than 2o pills during that period. Its like an addiction. I must take it to stop the headache.

and the worse part is, I think I gained weight. well, everyone would think that one would lose weight if sick. but after having normal diet each day with less than 30 minutes of movement per day. I figured that I must be gaining weight because of that.

And now, I'm more convince that I'm an ugly beast with all the scar on my whole body including my face. everyone should be avoiding me soon. I'm a scary monster with red spots all around my body. Well now, you know me. I'll be a monk for life......No doubt in that...(just kidding)

Well, I would really thanks my frens at the church and also ex course mates. Yoke mun, Chang hua and philip and other who helped me during this time. Without the coconut that yoke mun bought I might not recover as fast as this. so really owe you a big one. also thanks to my roomate, arun for being helpful all this while.... really owe you too.

well just an advice. If anyone got chicken pox, please buy coconut and start drinking the water asap if you wanna recover fast. Its kinda odd that western medication can't solve this problem.

also my mum and frens back in kch who were praying for my recovery, thanks a lot guys.
I had to postpone my flight for a week because of this.

online church (CIty Harvest Church, Singapore)

Well its been quite sometime that I can't attend church on sunday as my uni is quite far from city so I have been attending an online webcast church service of City Harvest Church.
Its a lively and loving church that was been expanding all over.

And today pastor Kong's message was the among the best I had listened about cancelling debt.
just repeat these phrases "My God is a debt cancelling God."

he outlined 5 steps to cancel debt that everyone should follow:
1. Keep good records
2. Plan spending
3. Reduce your debt rapidly
4. Pay my thies faithfully to God
5. Give my best offering to God

Some reading is through:
1. 2kings 6 - about an axe head floats. the people borrowed the axe and they had a hard time as they can't afford to repay it. God intervened and saved them through his miracle.
2. Nehemiah 5:3 - Nehemiah was angry with debts that he ask for the debts of the Jews to be cancalled once and for all.
3. Nehemiah 13:10-12 -Nehemiah stressed on how important to pay thies (full thies of 10%)
4. Malachi 3:10 -the 5 benefits of giving thies and offerings:
a. church will be a blessing to all
b. Heaven will be open
c. Devourers will be rebuked away.
d. Hard work will bear fruits.
e. spirit- led investments will prosper.
5. 2kings 4 - spirit led intervention in investment will prosper beyond what you can ever imagined

a. Well I agree with his attitude of keeping good records of all he own, owe and spend as a way to keep update on inventories of his money flow.
b. a budget for everything we do coz "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."
c. increase asset holdings that will increase in value over the time such as house and other investments.
d. the greatest prison is our 2 ears and mind as satan can easily imprison our mind in debt and sins if we keep a very low mindedness.

well good luck to everyone. Its time for us to break and overcome the mammon a God of Debt in Syrian history. and the satan's next plot to enslave us and lead us to defy God's calling for us to do mission or spare time to spread his words.

And I like the simple way he explain and differentiate between Loan and debt

Loan is a money borrowed that is serviceable such as credit card use for food and others where will pay immediately.
And Loan is use to buy things that will gain in value over the time such as property asset or other investments.

Whereas Debt is money borrowed that is not serviceable or we can't afford to pay such as credit card or overdraft to pay for vacations, shopping for furniture and electronic gadgets such as laptops, Tvs and others.
Simply put, Debt is a money borrowed to buy things that will depreciated in value over the time such as cars, luxury watch, vacations....


So take pastor Kong's word and start practice a solid financing of your money and be in control of your money before it become uncontrollable and you end up as a bankrupt.

Well, I really felt touched to hear the testimony by the couple who became bankrupt and have no money to even have three meals a day and how their son share their parents burden by not eating breakfast but to share a meal of dinner with his parent because that is all they could afford. And how they grow in faith and gave all they have and six years later, they are back on track. The husband's business is earning 50k in two months and with another 40k of contracts to do. and he is flying his own personal corporate jet as he works with Indonesia's richest man. and handling his own business at night. Both husband and wife are cleared from bankruptcies now.

Well, the story about pastor Kong and his wife who gave all their salary to a missionary as God touched their hearts whether they will rely on God for all they have as they are owing 40k and that salary is all they needed to service the loan and pay for their monthly spending.
Six month later money came pouring in and he can settle all his debt and be free.

Lets not look at the success but the trial period they face. Are we willing to let go everything and depend solely on God?
Not that u sit there doing nothing but to trust in God that he will help us clear all our debt and be freed of all this.
Start by giving thies not as a duty but a delight and be more involved in our cell activities and try to reach out and help others.

US Presidential Election

Well, I have been following the US Presidential Election online for quite sometime already

My first choice for the early primaries is Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Well I like her because I actually supports the Clinton name. I mean it is during those times that America really was booming. Now that America is near recession, I think there is no one else more suitable to be President than her

Well the first time I read about her was about how brave she is to face the Bill Clinton and Lewensky controversies where her husband had an affair with the intern.
It must have been the most embarrassing moment in her life that she has to talk in news conference where she will continue to support her man no matter what. That is a true loyal wife till death do us apart kinda person and nothing more a great man like President Clinton could ever have. She stood by her man through all that trial. Could you imagine what it feels like to tell everyone that u are not sexually attractive enough for your man. Its like a rose that gone bad.... and being trampled on...

The second reason why I prefer her is through her records of years in senate. She was a tough nut to crack. She had her own values that she held on tight to. And it is definitely tough to fight in the senate in an all man's game arena. She must have been strong and tough man.
And I feel that she is more closer to the blue collar group through her stance in helping to lower the fuel price and increase renewable energy like nuclear. She is really a serious senator who is working around the clock.

Though many do not agree with her voting for the War, but I understand her situation at that time. She is a senator from NY where the World trade center was bombarded. At that point she only have an option of whether to launch the war against terrorism in order to ensure the security of US in the future or vote not to attack and sent the message to the terrorist that US will not retaliate their attack which could be very dangerous coz it will make the enemy more brave to launch more attack in US soil. So people should really thank her for her vote. If not there could have been more attack.


Actually she is more likely to win the presidential race as she has won more swing state than Obama. She won Texas, Ohio, Florida, Missouri, NY, and many others which are really battle ground state. And most of her supporter are the Democrat loyalist. which is important than the new voter that obama manages to get. Those voter of Obama are kinda sentimental voter. They may not support Democrats in the future.
She won Texas and Ohio although Obama outspend her in campaign. It shows that people really prefer the Clinton ticket that has created 23 million job during President Clinton's time.

Plus her win would be a win for all women out there that there is nothing that women can't do.

I prefer her sincere kinda style compared to Obama's which are kinda good as he's a good orator, but his record prove him otherwise. We can't have a President who can't decide in many big issue in the senate or in his own state of Illinois. Plus his win of the the primaries are centered in those small states that will not count much in the Presidential election.

Now I'm for Mc Cain and Palin ticket....
Coz I can't sense that Mc Cain is really about service for the country first kinda guy. And he is a maverick that is always voting for what he feels is right rather than tagging along the party line. This person is sincere to serve the people and not for the bling bling kinda attention Obama is getting.

Plus he's first debate with Obama shows that he is of President material than Obama. He knows how the system runs and he knows how to take it down. I like his idea of cutting the tax coz if US is not competitive enough for companies to operate, people will lose their job. He is more economically sound than Obama. He has brought a few senator down for misuse and others which is to show that he is a man who would do what he thinks is right for US no matter what everyone else says.

His proposal is better than Obama's one which is driving job out at high taxes and try to create new job. That way people may lose both way if not enough new job is created to replace those that were shifting to overseas.

Plus Obama's voting record shows that he is an indecisive person. He voted not to vote in most laws. US gonna be like a country that is deaf and dumb to the world coz he's stand there being beaten by others and still decide that he will not do anything. That is really a jack ass. Its like having a senile man wondering what is happening when he is being attacked.


Ohya by the way, he's already shown his senile side when he said Mc Cain is right for eight times in the first debate which is to show that he will be a good poodle to others in international scene when negotiating deals where he will say that Putin is right, Angela is right, Taro Aso is right, Wen Jia Bao is right, and maybe Ahmad is right.
Are Americans ready for a long roller coaster ride when Obama is President. U better think again. Obama is gonna make US a laughing stalk to others coz he's gonna give into everyone coz he has no stand in anything. Even if he has, those are his advisers stand. Not his. He has no principle to guide him if another attack on US soil occur.
He'll say, no we will not retaliate.
When jobs got shifted overseas, he'll say we'll raise tax up to increase more revenue.
And all the companies will immediately shift outside of US.
Prepare for a gloomy days ahead.
China will definitely be superpower by the end of President Obama rule coz all the job will be in China and he will say,
yes China is right about that.
that is definitely the change American can't wait to have if President Obama is elected.

V for Vendeta

Well I just watch the movie V for Vendeta last nite coz its so damn boring rite now durin the raya hols.
Well, for once I would think that the guys must be some psycho lunatic person to plan such things as blowing up the symbol of UK's government...

After watching it, I think I kinda like the guy for his fight
I mean realistically, we need a guy like that to bring down our government, though I dun agree with his terrorist style. But he definitely is similar to someone we all know our Prime Minister in waiting, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

First , they both set a date to bring down the government.
V set it on Nov 5 to bring down the gov in a year....
well DSAI set Sep 16 to bring down the Malaysian gov

Second, both fighting for a good cause to bring back democracy and justice to the people
V fought against the Chancellor who was crazy enough to release air borne virus in the St Mary school where it killed 80 k people.
DSAI fought against the gov who misuse ISA, Sedition Act, Murder (mongolian), Sex (His allege Sodomy case) and against communal or Racial politics.

3rd Both men have been tortured and suffered under the cruel gov
V was an experimental guinea pig which ruined his life
DSAI was a imprison for 6 years and set up by the government for a crime he did not commit

4th both uses people power to topple the governement
V managed to mustered the courage of all Londoners to wear his mask and stage protest
DSIA managed to staged quite a number of rally and protest but the gov still do not want to give in

5th Both men are optimistic
V managed to topple the gov a lone albeit facing the toughest challenge
DSIA is optimistic that he has enough number of MP to form the new fed gov

6th both men took ten years to plan their comeback
V cleared the underground train tunnel to the parliament to plan for the bombing
DSIA was imprison 6 years and managed to stage a comeback this year after tens age when he was first imprison. He won the Permatang Pauh election with more majority albeit millions of taxpayer money used by gov to campaign against him. (By the way the millions spend on banner by gov was made in thai or china and the leaflets too. Plus paying for all the UMNO people staying in five star or lower star hotel and food in Penang)

Well just to conclude, are we willing to wait for the next Sep 16 for DSIA to overthrown the GOV?
According to V it is this moment of fighting against constant repression by the current gov that people feel that sth is very wrong with this country.
1. ISA can be used to capture any one.
2.Election is filled with unjust and corrupted practices esp in swk and sabah. the gov party give RM50 to RM100 to those in rural area to vote for them. but they can't fool folks in City area like Bandar Kch and KK. (DAP stronghold)
3. NEP is abused to prosper the cronies of UMNO. ie AP, scholarships, bank loans, cheaper housing, contracts and others....
4. The gov parties like UMNO, MCA ans MIC always use racial slurs to gain vote. People are sick with it. Democracy is about different group of people fighting for different course such as Republican vs Democrats (US), Socialist vs Liberal, AND NOT suppose to be Malay vs Chinese vs Indian (in Malaysia) what a stupid idea. Its time for you to decide... Do You think that our country is heading in the wrong direction?

And if u agree that we are, are you ready to battle it out in the street when DSIA stage a coup to overthrown the gov?
We may not be wearing the mask that V sent out to everyone though....
This one year time is gonna be a long wait....

A force of change

I'm kinda feel disgusted whenever people call me racist. Its kinda the feeling of white Americans who are sensitive to being label racist by the black. In fact I have been fighting racism for my whole life. My primary school was a total different environment for me. I was in fact the only chinese student in the whole malay school. And one of my best primary school friend was an Indian. And I love having my Iban, and Bidayuh friends. Though I do admit that sometime I feel like left out as I'm not native enough for them. I would definitely like to have a life in the village and dip in the cold water falls and chasing after the friends in the jungle. But I'm a city kid who had no affiliation with a rural life. I grew up in a suburb area where there is a good mix off all races in the city.
Maybe because I'm used to having parents who had best friends of native and malay background. I feel that my life way very diverse. I still like my malay teachers in primary school who taught me with love and discipline. The only thing is I'm a confused chinese who lose its chinese culture and background. I have no idea about chinese culture and practices which seems ridiculous at times. But what I have is the core cinese value of "KIA SU" or the spirit of afraid to lose or only know winning whether by hook or crook.

So It's my initiative to change Malaysia by breaking the norm of culture and make bridges to bring all the different races together by doing good for all. What I meant here is to give a cheerful smile to others, and help out when I can so that people from other races will start to accept that there is good in everyone irrespective of their race and religion.

Well, who says life is all cruel, and people are bitter. We'll prove them wrong. Its a la Sarawak style. No barriers to make friends from different races and background. We're all youth who are eager to know each other and have some quality time playing games, travel, watch movie, catch a football match, and other recreational activities.

So those who read this should take heed by thinking of a way where you can help others. Give your sit to a pregnant lady or old folks and help tourist by giving advise and direction. All we need to do is to make each others life a better one. whats more its the best way to start our day great by making others excellent!

21st century Asia is for christianity

Do you realise that the current South Korean President is a Christian? and South Korea which was previously predominant Buddhist country is now a Christian majority country of 10 million buddhist and 13 million christian?


Or the new Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso is a Roman Catholic and will be Japan's first christian PM in a shinto buddhist country?
or the growing number of Chinese Christians in China mostly in Hong Kong and Macau?
well these are just some figures that most people aren't aware of.
I once heard a pastor said that the spread of Christianity is a vicious cycle that starts from the middle East in Israel to Europe, north and south America and now it has arrived in Asia...
An interesting thing that occur is that as Christianity spread and gaining its presence in a particular region, so is the power and might of the country. Like Italy, France, Britain, US and now Japan, South Korea and China.
If that is the case everyone should capitalise on the spread of christianity in this regions and fully optimise it for their own benefit. The spread of christianity is also growing in South East Asia with the widely publicised opening of mega churches in Jakarta the capital of Indonesia. Most interestingly, mostly are chinese Indonesian who suffered years of genocide in the late 1990s when religious conflict occur during the economic recession in 1997. Many chinese owned business were raided and many chinese were killed during those dark times.
Well, this is just the beginning sign of the spread of the power of christianity in Asian region. We will anticipate the strengthening of China as christian population there increases until a point that it will take over US as the world power, just like how US take over the role of Britain as a christian power in the 1900s.

so is in Malaysia. The heroin of ISA or the feisty executive councilor of Selangor, MP Teresa Kok who was detained unlawfully also exerts her Roman catholic influence as she relented how she prayed to Jesus and drove inspiration out of it. She is an example of growing christian influence in the country as the leading cabinet member of the industrious and most develop state of selangor in Malaysia.

Now all eyes will be on these christian leaders who will be under the tightest lens of camera as how they would react and make their stand and judgment. Would they fall or rise up to the challenge? The South Korean president already made a public apology to the Buddhist citizen for the alleged bias of the government department towards Buddhist citizen. this is a good step as to ease the tension.He must be a leader for all and not just Christians. He should show a good example of how Christian values should be held by treating every one equally or even treat the Buddhist citizen better as demanded by Christ to treat your friends like your friends and to treat your enemy like how you would treat yourself. thus, he need to show how much more he care for the Buddhist citizen.

Meanwhile, in Malaysia and Indonesia, the spread of the Christian faith is having a tough time to break thorough the Islam grip of power. Already some alarms are ringing in Indonesia the world most populous Muslim country. The opening of the mega churches in Indonesia is not done overnight as the pastor of the church said that they had applied for it for the past 16 years and finally got approval as it is located in the heart of the city where most Christian neighbourhood is. However, with the opening of these mega churches, the Muslims are afraid of the growing power of Christianity in Indonesia as the members of the church are rich corporate bosses who donated millions of US Dollars to build the church. Plus in a tough economy, the helping hand by the church to the people may soften their hearts and maybe lead to a conversion to Christianity. However, the Indonesian authority does not want to give any comment in this matter as they were being pressured by foreign power to have a free and democratic country by practicing freedom of religion for the people to decide their own religion. But the government might have to heightened its stance as the general election is drawing closer as the popularity of President Susilo had drop over the years as the poor citizen had to fend off the increase in fuel, food and the current collapse of financial institutions in US. People are worried about their future.

Meanwhile, in Malaysia, the spread of Christianity is also facing a gridlock with the undemocratic statute that Malay=Muslim. thus, the limit is no Malay can be Christian or they will have to face the chasm and alienation of their Muslim family members. So the limit is only for Chinese and Indian origin. However, the gridlock is growing especially among the the non Malays who saw the body of their loved ones were being taken away by JAIS or other Islamic governing bodies who claim that the decease had converted to Islam and he or she will be buried in an Islamic manner and their property will be confisticated for the use of Islamic bodies.
This raised an issue as the spread of Islamophobia among the non malays are getting under tense situation as people try to avoid being associated with Islam in order not to end up the same way. The national front government is facing total lost of support of non malays whom all swing to the opposition side which fights for an equal treatment for all as Malaysian and not because of race and religion. This momentum is also gaining on the upper side of the malay populace who felt that affirmative policies will only benefit the cronies of the government. With this get attention across spectrum, people are actually waiting to count the days when the national front government will actually be dethrone for the first time in history.
A secular country like Turkey should be the target of the leaders and not an Islamic state. A secular democratic government which is transparent and fair to all will be good environment for the spread of christianity as malays are off the limit for spreading the word of God. UMNO should be congratulated for using a rather self illusion rule that the religion of Islam belongs to Malay. Such misconception is wrong as Malays can also be of other religion such as Hinduism in Bali, and Buddhism in Cambodia and Myanmar. By covering the eye of the people that Malay can only be Muslim is a tough fight for spread of Christianity in the country. For example the conversion of Lina Joy a malay who embrace Christianity was the headline for quite sometime as the current law doesn't allow one to convert to another religion. The scandal of the NRD department which labels quite a number of non muslim as muslim in their MyCard(ID card) also spark a fear among the non malays.

In singapore, the spread of christianity is already strong as the chinese and Indian as well as Malay citizen are more ready to accept Christianity as a way of life. More China nationals working in Singapore are also accepting this and may spread it faster to their family in China.

In India, the spread of Christianity spark off a massive genocide by the hindu radical who killed Christians. They argued that the missionaries targeted the lower cast group who are always being depressed and bullied by the cast system in India. Christianity which fights for equality for all seems to be the best way for them to get out of the illusive game ahead of the other cast. However, Christianity which is popular among those Chinese and Indian born outside of their origin country is sending a sign of change happening globally.

One thing for sure it the spread of Christianity is happening whether one admits it or not. We'll be anticipating a shift of world power as Christianity spread across Asia. At 21st Century we are looking at a time of Christian victory in Asia. Whats more, Gentile across the world will be praying that this will occur in a peaceful manner. But we can't stop those radical from killing and threatening the existence of Christianity. What we can do is pray to receive another Paul in Saul.

Maybe perhaps 22nd century will be Africa's turn as a center of power. to take over Asia
